Product Overview
The ASI-X Shear Release Packer builds on the versatility of the standard ASI-X model, with the added benefit of a re-pinnable shear release mechanism for emergency retrieval. Designed for reliability under high-pressure conditions, this tool enables a straight pull release at a predefined shear value, ensuring safety and efficiency during critical operations. Its internal by-pass system minimizes swabbing and allows for pressure equalization before upper slips are released. The J-slot mechanism ensures a straightforward ¼-turn right-hand set and release. Available in standard, wireline-set, and high-temperature versions, the ASI-X Shear Release Packer is engineered for pressures up to 10,000 PSI, making it ideal for both shallow and deep completions requiring robust functionality.
